Are you looking for an English-Spanish interpreter, or a combination of Dutch-English and Spanish? You’ve come to the right place.

I can help you interpret between Dutch, Spanish, and English. I work with both companies and individuals.

Who am I?

My name is Cristina García. I was born in Mexico, where I lived for over 20 years. I have been living in the Netherlands for almost 30 years now, where I work as a Spanish teacher. I also teach business-related subjects and intercultural topics at a University of applied sciences in the Netherlands. Since 2020, I have been working as an interpreter in Spanish, Dutch and English. I am a sworn interpreter for Dutch-Spanish.

Before working as a teacher, I worked in the business field for about 10 years.

Experience

As a sworn interpreter in the combination Spanish – Dutch, I work for all government agencies and private individuals. My areas of expertise are wide-ranging: criminal law, civil law, medicine, commerce, psychology, education, etc. I have experience as an interpreter in courts, notary offices and law firms. I also provide interpreting services in medical consultations, health centres and mental health centres.

I take great pleasure in serving as an interpreter in the commercial and industrial sectors, specializing in Spanish, Dutch, and English languages. In the commercial sector, I have gained experience in Shareholders’ meetings, commercial agreements and company acquisitions, among other areas.

Furthermore, I help companies and individuals understand the cultural differences between Spanish-speaking countries and Northern Europe. These differences can be important both for trade and for people who have difficulty adapting to the Netherlands.

Services

  • On site, I can interpret consecutively or simultaneously.
  • I can interpret simultaneously in a booth.
  • Remote by telephone.
  • Remote via Microsoft Teams or Skype.

What is consecutive interpreting?

It is a type of block interpreting in which the interpreter waits for the speaker to deliver all or part of the speech in the source language and then translates it orally into the target language.

What is simultaneous interpreting?

This type of interpreting is done in real time, parallel to the speech, i.e. the reformulation takes place while the speaker is talking.

Topics

I work as an interpreter for both official services and commercial clients. In the commercial sector, I have gained experience in shareholders’ meetings, commercial agreements and company sales, among others.
